Each row is one record of one life, drawn on the same axis of years. A bar is the span the record covers; an open right edge means it is still being kept; a single mark is a record of one day. The number on the right is that record’s own headline, computed from its full data on every build. Rows are ordered by the year they begin, rather than by when each one was built, so the map reads as a life rather than as a list of projects.
What this is
A public index over a private practice. I have kept records of my own life since 1995, first by hand and later by app and sensor, and built a page for each one to find out what it knew. Each record was built on its own terms and looks like itself. The only things they share are this page and the rule about what stays private.
